Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. Being the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the only one who won four gold medals in the same Games at the 2016 Olympics. Biles was also the first to hold three consecutive world championships. Biles together with her siblings Adria and Ronald Biles were adopted as young children by grandparents from Houston. Simone became interested in gymnastics at age six during a day-care field trip at Bannon's Gymnastix and she remained there for 11 years under supervision of instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a gold medal for floor exercises and also a bronze in vault during the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite level of gymnastics in the year the year 2011. She dominated her sport just two years later. The thing that set Biles apart was the consistency of her flamboyant attitude and the extreme level of effort she put into her routines in every event - vault, uneven bars balance beam and floor workout.
