Dua Lipa is a British singer/songwriter who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. The model signed with Warner Bros Records after a several years of hard work. She dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. This album reached number 3 at the U.K. Charts and released eight singles. This included Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. #1 track New Rules. Lipa has won Brit Awards 2018 for the categories of British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act, and British. Furthermore, the platinum album has been praised in multiple countries. Dua Lipa was born on on 22 August 1995 in London. Her parents are Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian ancestry. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town Peja. The Lipa's grandparents are historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa learned to play guitar and sing from her father Oda. Oda is the lead singer/guitarist of the Kosovan-rock band Oda. While at home, her father would play his original compositions, along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of was just five years old. In just her ninth year she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa sang Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, and If Ain't Get You from Alicia Keys. Lipa was given an recording deal by Warner Bros. Records in 2014.
